Please join us as a Presenter for the Detroit River Water Festival!

750 Detroit and Windsor are invited to attend the Water Festival. Each class will attend four 20-minute presentations. Presentation locations are mostly outdoors on Belle Isle. There are indoors locations available, however limited. We can assign you to a location tailored to your needs and format.

We ask that Presenters provide four 20-minute educational presentations on water for visiting classes. Classes will rotate in groups of appx. 35 students between presentation stations. There will be two morning classes and two afternoon classes for each Presenter.

Schools begin presentations at 10am and 10:30am; we ask that you arrive by 9:00am to set-up. Presentation locations are mostly located near the center of the island, near the outside of the Aquarium.  Once online registration is complete you can check our Google map of the festival to see your exact location. The water festival coordinator will be in contact with you to confirm your presentation and location needs.

If you have questions about appropriate topics and format for the water festival, please contact Ron Fadior, Water Festival Coordinator, at fadoirr@oakgov.com.

Each Presenter will receive a boxed lunch and a Water Festival T-shirt upon registration. Volunteers will be available, if needed, to assist you to set-up at your Presentation site.

Please consider sharing your knowledge and expertise with the next generation of water stewards. Your contributions allow us to present this festival free to school children. Thank you for your support of water education and the Detroit River!

There will be a volunteer orientation the morning of the festival to familiarize Volunteers with the festival space and presentation locations. Class guides will be assigned a class and receive a copy of their schedule.

Volunteers should plan to arrive at 8:30am at Registration on Belle Isle. Coffee and snacks will be provided.

In addition, each Volunteer will receive a boxed lunch, lanyard nametag and a Water Festival T-shirt upon Registration.
